Membership

If you meet all the terms and conditions required by Webshop Trustmark, you may be eligible to use the quality mark (see terms and conditions). Please note! We only allow use of the quality mark by companies who derive all or part of their turnover from distance selling of products and/or services to consumers.

Unlike other quality labels, Webshop Trustmark charges a low fixed fee which is not linked to turnover or number of employees. We do not ask you to provide financial details or annual accounts. The fee is €195 excluding taxes per year (VAT 19%). Naturally, in the event of registration part way through the year, we only request a subscription fee for the months remaining in the year. There are no additional fees for application processing or approval as is the case for some other labels.

If your company controls several online shops, we only charge one fee (for up to 5 webshops). However, you must complete an application form for each of the webshops. Please note, the description must be 'descriptive' and not a sales pitch.

You must accept the Trustmark's Code of conduct and use the Webshop Trustmark Terms and Conditions (unless there are specific conditions for your branch).

 

Registration process

After you submit an application we will check your website. Your application will be processed within a few working days. After it has been checked we will process the approval for your webshop. It is possible that some changes may be required before you are eligible for the quality mark.  It is therefore very important that you read the Trustmark's Code of conduct fully. This will speed up the certification process.
After approval (or any changes), we will send you a contract via email which you must sign and return to us.  Upon receipt of the signed contract, completion of any required changes, and payment of the applicable fee, you will be invited to log into our system where you can:

  • Download the logo you want to use on your website in the format you require (with the correct code).
  • Change your details.
  • Add webshops.

After approval you can display the Webshop Trustmark logo on your webshop.

If you register your webshop:

  • you agree to comply with the Webshop Trustmark's Code of conduct.
  • You agree to use the Webshop Trustmark's Terms and Conditions
  • You agree to cooperate with any checks and improvements to your site which may be required to meet consumer protection legislation and the requirements of the Trustmark's Code of conduct.
  • You agree to pay an annual subscription of 195 euros excluding taxes (during the year this is calculated pro rata, the total amount being due in January each year).
